We spent two days in Tel Aviv. I had no idea the city was so beautiful! There are a number of beaches along the Mediterranean coastline here that are truly stunning, and you'll find locals out and about soaking up the sun and exercising everywhere. Tel Aviv is a fairly new city as far as the rest of Israel goes, but it also has the remnants of the ancient port city of Jaffa within its boundaries, and some of the first Jewish neighborhoods that developed in Israel from the late 1800s. The city is the economic hub of the country, and boasts a highly-praised tech industry. The buildings provide a unique blend of early 20th Century Nouveau Art and Bauhaus architecture right alongside some very impressive modern skyscrapers. Tel Aviv also has an active night life, and is considered more liberal and secular than the rest of the country.
