From Nazareth we traveled though the Galilean Hills, stopping at the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus is believed to have given his famous Sermon on the Mount. We continued to the Upper Galilee region, spending two nights at a guesthouse in Kfar Blum, a kibbutz situated within the Hula Valley. The following morning we visited the nature reserve within the Hula Valley Wetlands, a delicate ecosystem that serves as a stopover for tens of thousands of birds migrating back and forth between Europe and Africa each year.
